End finally near for "smooth jazz?"

Postby saba » Fri Mar 14, 2008 6:20 pm

In recent weeks, several radio stations have dropped the alledged "smooth" jazz format. Stations in New York, Washington, D.C., Denver and now Houston have given it up. I'm hoping this trend continues. Anyone else hear rumblings that the station in their market will soon make a change? Is the ear infection finally coming to a close?

Wonderful! "smooth"jazz is for the mentally deranged! Make my jazz choppy, fast, and LOUD!

Congrats to a station in Savannah, Georgia. They're the latest to drop "smooth jazz."
May the trend continue.
