female vocals

Postby Hepcat Daddy-O » Wed Jun 06, 2007 5:19 pm

There is a "female vocals" category under blues/rockabilly, but not under swing/jazz. I can think of a lot more female vocalists under the jazz/swing category than under the blues/rockabilly category. Recently I posted Annie Ross in the Classic Swing category, but perhaps it would be better in a seperate female vocals category, where you can put things like Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Annie Ross, and even Veronica Martell. If you don't want to be discriminatory to the men, perhaps you can make it "Jazz Vocals", rather than "Female Vocals" ...just a thought.
