Hello Everyone,

What a top site! Found it when checking out the blog.

To introduce myself, I am the singer and bandleader for Greg Poppleton & his Bakelite Dance Band

We play 1920s hot jazz and 1930s small group Swing.

Our CD, which was on the blog, is The Phantom Dancer: 14 Swing Era Songs of 1926 - 1939 in Radio Review.

Check out our music at [web]http://www.gregpoppleton.com[/web]

It's fantastic to see some people really appreciating the swing genre, and not being concerned with money. Thanks eternally for your contribution!

Greg Poppleton

Postby phantom dancer » Wed Jun 06, 2007 9:05 pm

Hi Luiz,

Because I'm especially into live swing, jazz & dance bands from 1920s-60s radio & TV & the art of radio broadcasting, that's what I listen to on the net.

Sites I visit from time to time, that have some music from old radio (but mostly spoken word) that can be downloaded includes:
http://www.digitaldeliftp.com
http://www.related-pages.com/oldtimerad ... ?cat=Music (Music & the Muse from this page always brings a smile to my face)
http://www.related-pages.com/oldtimeradio/
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com ... choes.html

Cheers
Greg Poppleton
