Well howdy (that is how we say it here)

My name is David and I DJ on the internet as Dave Swinger. I am currently 27 and have lived in Louisville, KY (big enough yet really very friendly if you don't live in my neighborhood) all my life. I listen to all types of music but I dig music that is created before I was born (best way to classify it) the most.

Between November 2000 and March 2007, I was one of the top DJs on Doo Wop Café Radio. As of this writing, I am music director of Radio Odyssey and am having a blast. Give me time and I might share a thing or two.

Hello people, this is my very first post on this forum and it feels like taking a morning walk on a snow-covered road. I'm a baby girl, almost 22, an English student from Croatia (I believe there are some neighbours of mine on the forum, from Serbia, methinks) and I have enjoyed Jazz and Swing since my early teen years. I do not consider myself to be full of knowledge of music, but I know what I like. I love classics like Ella, Louis, Billie, Ellington, Goodman, Bessie Smith, Django, but also modern bands - BBVD, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Pasadena Roof Orchestra... which would stay unfamiliar to me if I hadn't discovered this forum.
