Anybody know what's going on with massmirror? Seems like it's been down for at least two days. Is it dead or just temporarily down? There are a lot of links that go thru massmirror on this site. When was the last time anyone reached the site with success?

Hepcat Daddy-O,
Tried uploading 18 Oct to Mass, it uploaded but never distributed to file servers, arrows spinning around for hours, but never completed. Gave up, losing a lot of Mbs in the process (isp counts uploads, and slows speed when limit reached each month)...Grrr..

Have had 50% success rate with Mass over time (and 0% with Sharebee which does not even begin to upload). Read recently that sharebee does not work with mac OS - any mac users had success with sharebee? I'm located in Australia, can't see that making a difference to Mass or sharebee though(?).

Hepcat Daddy-O,
Checking various forums I think I have misunderstood the Mass problem - seems Mass cannot be accessed at all at the moment (my issues detailed above about distributing upls have been ongoing).

Read on one forum: "...MassMirror is in the process of switching everything to a new server (sounds familiar) and doesn't know when it will be fully operational, again. Hence all the errors with MassMirror, of late."

Also on same forum: "I've never been able to make Sharebee work. I've read in another forum that Sharebee does not support the Mac platform. If true, then it certainly won't work for me."
and: "I can say that Sharebee has worked with my Mac with no problems."
I'll ask again - any mac users here got Sharebee to work? On a PPC mac?, an Intel mac?, running windows OS?

If you're looking for alternatives, you could check out Xirror oder 75d. And never ever forget to save the links to the distributed files. Alas, I did download via MassMirror last time on wednesday, everything was fine back then.

Grmpf, double post, again. I even checked the thread before I retried the Submit-button. Never encountered so many error messages like from the provider of this service.

I've yet to have a problem with Mediafire. I had a success rate of 20% with Sharebee.
