I know that setting up this thing is a pain, but it's actually quite cool to be able to toggle anonymous surfing sometimes, even when it's a lot slower.
for all I know, the database should include about 99% of albums posted here. Yes, I'm not kidding. Don't ask me where he got all this bandwidth from.
advanced search functions include restriction on title, album, artist, genre using a syntax similar to google (e.g. title:Stardust to get all versions of Stardust). I've found this search function to be incredibly cool when looking for a particular song, much more useful than the search function here in the forum.
because of disk storage restrictions (he said he's somewhere at 800 GB now), that is just the database, not the music, so no direct downloads possible there (plus, the TOR network doesn't have the super big bandwidth we're used to nowadays)
if you want an upload/reupload of any of the music in the database (I don't know for sure what is indexed; it might include some radio streams such as swissradio.ch as well, but most of the stuff is full albums AFAIK), drop a note here. Either I'll forward the request, or he might just notice himself (if you send me a PM, I will have to forward it, that may take even longer). He's not posting himself to keep tracing him back hard, but I've posted some of his uploads here before. Requests with high karma / from active members are of course served first.
