I don't think the time of a recording is a good differentiation for classic jazz. Bill Elliott p.e. plays definitely in a very classic style and is active nowadays. It is impossible to have perfect definitions of genres that would always lead to the "right drawer" for a musician or a recording. Not to forget, musicians often tend to switch genres, at least if their career last longer than two albums. And if a post is really completely wrong in this category, feel free to send a message to a moderator. If you can convince him or her, the thread will be moved to a better suited part of the forum. No big deal, in my opinion.
