Looking for a song

Postby Caroline8481 » Wed Aug 05, 2009 1:26 pm

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum but have been a huge fan of Big Band and Swing music for many years. There is a particular piece of music that I have been trying to trace for a long time, having heard it played in several films/ tv shows over the years. I have only heard a brief clip of it and the only actually recording I have is one that I recorded from an old VHS, so it is of very poor quality and there is talking over the music (if possible, I will try and attach the file to this post). From what I have heard, I believe this music is from the late 1930s/early 40s, although I am unable to tell whether it is British or American I have a feeling it may be American. I also think that it is not by any of the big names from that era, although it is very much in the style of Glenn Miller and the recording that I can think of that sounds the most similar to it is Miller's 'The Story of a Starry Night'. I would be eternally grateful to anyone who could help me trace it! Thank you.

Regards,

Caroline
