Hmm, where to post this? How about an e-books section? There's a few instructional pdf's floating in the blues section somewhere and transcriptions of Django Reinhardt solo's.

Sing along with all the standards! Learn the notes to pedu-du-deduh-ta-tuteu-dedudup pedu-du-deduh-tutatuh-thup or pwapwapwa-aw pwapwa-pwapwah-pwapwapwaahw pwapho-papah pwapopwapopwa-pwawwh! (Guess which & win...!) Find out what Louis Armstrong was really mumbling! Learn the chord changes to your favourite tunes! Discover what chord progressions really make your heart beat faster! Which key modulations really tickle your fancy! What key gets you cookin'! Watch black dots on white paper!
Here is:

The New Real Book

Wonderful, delicious, great.............everybody clap hands and say Yeeaaaahhhhhhh

By the way, I have something to share with you.
I`m not sure if this it the right place. But, you know, decide by yourself.
It is just a tiny little book, nothing really special, which U can put in your pants pocket.

So, enjoy and have fun :-)

Maybe it is the same like the Real Books, I`m not sure.........

Greetings

SirDidimus

I suspect the reason for the massive proliferation of these books -- aside from the fact that they make money 'cause musicians use them all the time -- is that so many different music publishing houses controlled these songs when they first came out. Today, with the unending conglomeratization of the media industries, there are a lot fewer music publishers, controling much more of the copyrighted music out there, but there is still enough competition that you can't publish a book that includes, say, music from both Tams-Witmark (which I believe is now owned by TimeWarner) and Joe Blow Unlimited (which is owned by your cousin Larry in Sheboygan) without getting permission from both, which can be a devilish nuisance.

So working musicians have to own many of these suckers.

Which makes the posting of them here even more important.
