splitting Devices \ Softwares?

Postby SnodGrass » Tue Jun 05, 2007 4:45 pm

Just a thought...

Should Devices \ Softwares be split into Mac - Devices \ Softwares & Windows - Devices \ Softwares since the two are mostly incompatible with each other?

There are Linux users around, too. :-P
SCNR

Not sure if we really need a software section though. All my linux software is packaged, 15000 software packages that I can install with a single click. Integrated search to find them.

P.S. I have a tool to automatically calculate BPM values for large amounts of MP3s and OGGs. Takes about 1-5 seconds per file on my laptop, per core. Results are mostly okay; though often it's off by a factor of 2 or 4, when it detects a upper or lower beat pattern.
With some tweaks you definitely could run it on Windows, too. But I don't have Windows. Mac is a lot easier to port to.
